Based on extended warranty for home devices available for purchase from retailers in Singapore as of 2022.
SmartSupport Home Insurance Product provides you with up to $5,000 coverage per 12 rolling months against Breakdown for Eligible Device for $20.18 per month (inclusive of GST).
Breakdown means the mechanical or electrical failure of the Covered Device (as defined in the Coverage Summary) caused by defects in materials and/or workmanship.
Eligible Devices means the following devices, of any size and any brand, which have Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth connectivity and are of a category listed below and which meet the conditions below:
· desktop computers or laptop computers including any external monitor connected;
· tablets; and
Covered Device means a device insured under this Policy which is of a category set out in the Eligible Devices but excludes any Excluded Devices.
Excluded Devices means devices which:
· do not have internet or wireless connectivity;
· are brands which are not launched in Singapore;
· were not purchased in Singapore;
· do not have a serial number or have an altered serial number;
· has reached its end of life or support as determined by the original equipment manufacturer;
· are Specific Excluded Devices ; or
· are used for commercial purposes.
You agree that the Coverage Summary and SmartSupport Home Terms & Conditions apply.
The contract of insurance is between Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd and StarHub Ltd as the policy holder under the Group Policy; and not between you and Liberty.
StarHub and Liberty (i) have entered into the Group Policy; and (ii) have agreed for StarHub to carry out certain introductory, billing and advertising activities for which StarHub receives an administrative fees per month for each enrolment under the Group Policy.
All risk and liability insured under the SmartSupport Home Insurance Product (excluding Tech Support and Security Advisor services) and/or the Group Policy is assumed or indemnified by Liberty and not by StarHub.
You agree that for the provision of SmartSupport Home Insurance Product,
a) StarHub will collect, use and disclose the following personal data for the purposes of service billing: Name, Document ID e.g, NRIC/FIN, Email address, Billing Address, Registered Address, Mobile Number as contact
The provisions of StarHub’s Personal Data Protection Policy will also apply to your relationship with StarHub.
b) Liberty and/or their appointed service provider(s) will collect, use and disclose your personal data for the purposes of providing SmartSupport Home to you. The provisions of Liberty’s Personal Data Protection Policy will also apply to your relationship with Liberty.
SmartSupport Home comprises Device Cover for Breakdown of Eligible Devices (mobile phones are not eligible for coverage), bundled with Tech Support and Security Advisor services. Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd (Liberty) underwrites the SmartSupport Home coverage, terms and conditions apply. NEW Asurion Singapore Pte Ltd (Asurion) is Liberty's appointed claims handler for Device Cover. Asurion also is the sole provider for Tech Support and Security Advisor services of which Liberty bears no liability for these services. StarHub Limited (StarHub) is the policyholder and not the insurer nor an insurance intermediary. StarHub is not licensed or supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and does not act as an agent or intermediary for Liberty or for you.
