Beware of Scam Emails

It’s never a bad time for phishing and scam emails. Bad actors are always looking for opportunity to capitalize on the trust weakness of the human nature to find a way into your life. This is especially so during the COVID situation when we have much more screen time than before. In the recent days, we have been seeing more and more of phishing and scam cases reported to us by the community. Thank you for always being vigilant and doing your part to help keep the community cyber safe!

Here’s a recent email received by one of our customer, requesting to update their password due to OTP functionality being introduced. Hovering the mouse above the link, you will notice that the link does not point to “starhub.com” domain, which is suspicious. There are others such as SMS advertisement on voucher give-away, payment refund for services.
