Making a Call

Calls can be made from any fixed line, mobile phone or payphone. You don't need to insert the card when calling from a payphone.



Calling from Singapore

Enjoy a choice of connecting your calls via IDD 008 or IDD 018 when calling overseas. IDD 008 is StarHub’s premium international calling service while IDD 018 is StarHub's value international calling service.

For IDD 008 - Press 1. Enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #

For IDD 018 - Press 2. Enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #

To make a local call - Press 3. Enter telephone number, followed by #

*Call charges apply. Please call 6820 1883 if you're dialling from a non-StarHub payphone.



Calling from Overseas
  • Dial the access number of the country you're in
  • Enter your 10-digit card number, followed by #
  • Enter your 6-digit PIN

To make a call back to Singapore, press 1. Then enter the telephone number, followed by #. To make a call within the country or to other countries, press 2. Enter country code, area code, telephone number, followed by #.


NOTE:

  • There is no need to enter Singapore country code 65 before dialing the local telephone number.

Features

The following special features will enhance your card usage. Just follow the simple instructions on how to use them.



Language Selection for Voice Prompts

Voice prompts can be played in a choice of English, Mandarin, Malay or Tamil when you dial in. Once you have selected your preferred language, the voice prompt will then be played in that language every time you dial in.

To select or change your preferred language,

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883*. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 4 to change your language selection
    • Select your preferred language
    • Press 1 to confirm selection


PIN Change

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883*. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 1 to change your PIN
    • Enter your new 6-digit PIN
    • Re-enter your new 6-digit PIN



Speed Dial

Program your frequently called telephone number as Speed Dial codes (1-9). When prompted to enter your telephone number, enter the Speed Dial code followed by #. E.g. 1 # , and your call will be connected immediately.



To Program a Speed Dial Number

    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 2 for Speed Dial
    • Enter the Speed Dial code (1-9)


Press 1 to program the Speed Dial number

Enter the telephone number, followed by # (If programming overseas numbers, enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #)

    • Press 1 to confirm


To Delete a Speed Dial Number

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883*. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 2 for Speed Dial
    • Enter the Speed Dial code (1-9)
    • Press 2 to delete the Speed Dial number
    • Press 1 to confirm



Intelligent Login

Program the eight telephone numbers you most frequently call from as Intelligent Login numbers. Whenever you call from these telephone numbers, you can enter your PIN immediately without having to enter your card number.



To Review Your Programmed Intelligent Login Numbers

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883*. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 3 for Intelligent Login
    • Press 1 to review your Intelligent Login numbers


To Add to Your Intelligent Login Numbers

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883*. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 3 for Intelligent Login
    • Press 2 to add to your Intelligent Login numbers
    • Enter the telephone number, followed by # (Only local telephone numbers may be programmed)
    • Press 1 to confirm


To Change Your Intelligent Login Numbers

In Singapore, dial 1883 or 6820 1883 *. When overseas, dial the country access number

    • Enter your card number, followed by #
    • Enter your PIN
    • Press 4 for Feature Selection
    • Press 3 for Intelligent Login
    • Press 3 to change your Intelligent Login numbers
    • Enter the Intelligent Login number you wish to change, followed by #

To Delete Your Intelligent Login Numbers

Conference Calling

Conduct conference calls with up to 5 other parties simultaneously in Singapore or overseas.



Calling from Singapore
  • Dial 1883 or 6820 1883*
  • Enter your 10-digit card number
  • Enter your 6-digit PIN

For IDD 008 calls, press 1. Enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #

For IDD 018 calls, press 2. Enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #.

For Local Calls, press 3. Enter telephone number, followed by #.

The call will be connected to the first party. To connect with the second party, enter **, then follow the voice prompt instructions to connect the second party^^.

Repeat the steps to connect more parties to the conference call

To return to the conference group ant any time, press **

^^ Option 2 (ie.IDD 018) is only available when making IDD call to first party. For calls to subsequent parties for Conference Calls, only Option 1 (IDD 008) and Option 4 (Local Call) will be available.



Calling from Overseas
  • Dial the access number of the country you're in
  • Enter your 10-digit card number, followed by #
  • Enter your 6-digit PIN number
  • For calls to Singapore, press 1. Then enter telephone number followed by #
  • To call other countries, press 2. Enter country code, area code and telephone number, followed by #.
  • The call will be connected to the first party. To connect with the second party, enter **, then follow the voice prompt instructions to connect the second party.
  • Repeat the steps to connect more parties to the conference call
  • To return to the conference group at any time, press **

You can identify every party by the position which that party has been connected in sequence. The first party connected is identified by position 1, the second party by position 2 and so on. If a party leaves the conference, the subsequent party that joins in will then be identified by that vacant position number. This allows you to perform more functions.

Mute function places a party in the listen-only mode. To mute a conference party, press *, followed by the conference position of the part e.g. * 1. Unmute function places the party back to the listen-and-talk mode. To unmute a conference party, you should also press *, followed by the conference position of the party, e.g. * 1.

Hold function disconnects a party from the conference temporarily. To place a party on hold, press # , followed by the position of the party, e.g. # 1. Resume function brings the party back into the conference. To do so, you should also press #, followed by the position of the party, e.g. #1.

Terminate function disconnects the party from the conference permanently. To terminate a party, press 0, followed by the position of the party, e.g. 01.

If you wish to connect more participants to the conference at a later stage, you may press ** to invite more participants by yourself if the conference group size permits.



Announcement Override

Save time by entering the appropriate call sequences without waiting for the voice prompts.



Previous Selection

Press * to return to the previous selection. This is to allow the user to re-enter his entry.



Main Menu

Press # to return to the Main Menu. The main menu allows the user to select options to make calls or features.



Follow-on Call

To make consecutive calls without hanging up, press # # after you've completed your first call, then enter the telephone number for the next call.



Redial

If the telephone number you've dialled is busy, you will be prompted to dial the number again.



Value-added Services

You may opt for Value-added Services to enhance your card usage.



Call List

Get even more mileage out of your card with Call List. You'll have control over the usage of your card by restricting the telephone numbers you may call (up to 5 telephone numbers). This also enhances security.
